Bows

A bow is as unique as the musician. One particular style or model may not fit the needs of any one player. Because of this, I make many different models and variations of bow styles for all sizes and types of bowed instruments and keep them in stock. This means that there is little or no waiting period between the time you order a bow and the time you actually receive it. A 30-day waiting period can be expected for custom bows or copies of originals on loan.

You are allowed a seven day trial period in which to carefully select the bow best suited to your instrument. When you order, I match your preferences with the bow that most closely meets your requirements.

Feel free to write, call or e-mail if you wish further information. I look forward to helping you find the bow that will best compliment your playing style while also allowing you to bring out the finest sound possible from your instrument.

As early music ideas are becoming more mainstream, I am using your bow more often in the orchestra with my modern violin. In particular, last week for Beethoven #3 and this week for Beethoven #5! As conductors are taking Beethoven’s audacious tempo markings more literally, your bow allows me to play the fleet tempi with ease. Also terrific for later Baroque work, Mozart Opera, and Oratorios. It has literally been a career saver.
Whenever I can, I encourage colleagues to try my bow, to show them how they can maximize their efforts while protecting their arm.
