More praise for Ashmead Bows:

Ciao, Enrico Onofri
Hi Ralph,
Just wanted to thank you for making that bow I recently bought! I really don't think I would have had as much fun or played as well on my Mozart concerto a couple of weeks ago without it! It's the first transitional bow I've ever had that really really feels comfortable.
Best regards,
Elizabeth Blumenstock
I received the new bow on this wednesday.
It is Amazing!!!
I can play more warmer, more nature and richer for every note.
And, most surprised thing for me was,,,
I can play everything wherever of the bow!!!!!
It is miracle isn't it !!???!!
It is really amazing.
I cannot possibly put my thanks into words.
I am very very happy.
Thank you!!
Best wishes, Have a nice vacation!

Dear Ralph,
I played a concert last week with the bow, and I am very happy. The sound is beautiful and it's very easy to play. Thanks a lot.
I am now in Spain until Wednesday, I will send the other bow to your customer in Italy on Thursday or Friday...
Salutations

Dear Ralph Ashmead,
I had the good fortune this weekend to be playing with Elin Gabrielssohn who had two bows of yours on trial. She has, as you will probably know by now, decided to buy one of them: I should like to buy the other.
I had, of course, seen a lot of your work - Enrico Onofri, Claudia Combs, Stanley Ritchie and others all use your bows..., but as I have always been happy with my Italian Ghirardelli, I never really considered looking for anything else.
I played for 20 minutes with the bow that Elin 'didn't' want and I was taken.
Elin said the bow cost $2000 but she wasn't absolutely sure. If you can confirm the price, and give me details of how to make the payment, I will be able to see to it all next week.
(Just so you know who I am, I was principal violinist with one of Italy's foremost baroque ensembles (La Cappella della Pietˆ dei Turchini, Naples) for 10 years. I played with English Concert for 5 years, 1992-97, and I also played in quartet with Stanley Ritchie for a few years whenever he came over to Italy. I now freelance with various chamber ensembles and play as guest first violin with several baroque orchestras in Italy, France and Spain.)
With thanks,
Nick Robinson
